Minimum Requirements

To register a Section 8 Company, there must be at least two directors, two shareholders, and a registered office address. Additionally, the name of the company must end with the words "Foundation", "Association", "Society", "Council", "Charity", "Institute", "Organization", "Federation", "Chamber of Commerce", or "Development".

License and Approval

The license and approval for a Section 8 Company are granted by the Registrar of Companies (RoC). The RoC will review the company's Memorandum of Association (MoA) and Articles of Association (AoA) before granting the license.

Tax Benefits

Section 8 Companies are eligible for tax benefits under Section 12A and Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. This means that the company's income is exempt from taxes, and donors to the company can claim tax deductions on their donations.

Compliance Requirements
